Barcelona, Spain
When to go: June which is at the time of the Festival of Sant Joan which celebrates the start of summer.

Where to stay: We stayed at a moderately-priced hotel which was central to the city called Hotel Barcelona Catedral. One of our favorite memories is jogging to Mercado de La Boqueria (a bustling public indoor market for produce, fish and meat) in the morning and enjoying fresh fruit smoothies. Of all our travels, Barcelona ranks among the highest. The hotel is also central to Basilica de Santa Maria del pi, Las Ramblas, cafes and shopping.

What to do: 4 Days in Barcelona
The hop on/hop off bus is a great way to learn about the city sights. We purchased a 2-day pass. We took the subway to Sagrada Familia and advise that you purchase tickets in advance. A tour of one of Gaudi's casas is a must. We chose Casa Mila which was awesome!
