Cliffs of Moher
When to go: We traveled in December, mainly due to the holiday break at the University. The weather was cold but not harsh.

Where to stay: We stayed in four locations: Cobh, Killarney, Galway and Dublin. We really enjoyed getting to talk to the local residents at the B&B in Galway and learn about their country, customs and how to make Irish oatmeal. The hotel and city of Cobh were magical, with a feeling that you were here decades ago. The Irish have done a good job preserving their history.

What to do: Days 1-3

(Day 1)
We traveled from the University of Limerick where our daughter was studying abroad and traveled first to Blarney Castle. We rented a car with a GPS so navigation was not difficult other than the many round-abouts. Next stop was Colb which is the last place the Titanic docked before it's fateful voyage. The town is beautful by the sea and we happened upon the lighting of the Christmas tree the night we arrived. You can shop here for Waterford (and other) crystal.
